Ember: Obsidian Protocol - RDL Core
Build the foundation of your RDL force with five mechs, two Hyena tactical drones and a wide range of interchangeable equipment. RDL Core brings together Mire battle cores and a Dune tactical core, backed by standard and armoured chassis.
The box provides enough variety to explore several equipment combinations: automatic rifles, heavy machine guns, railguns, launchers, shields and blades. Repair systems, defensive equipment and cooling modules expand the support choices available alongside those weapons.
Choose RDL Core when you want to focus on one faction and develop a larger collection over time. Heavy Metal adds heavier equipment, while Cavalry introduces more mobile chassis and different support options. This is a faction box; players starting together should also consider the RAID two-player starter.

Assembly and customisation
Supplied unassembled and unpainted, with magnets included for the modular models. Assembly and painting tools are sold separately. Painted examples in the gallery show possible finishes and equipment combinations.
Mechs use separate core, chassis, arm and backpack modules. Spare components let you change a model’s equipment; alternative configurations do not represent additional complete mechs. Part cards may describe several uses for the same physical component.
What else do I need?
Use this box with the EMBER: Obsidian Protocol rules, appropriate dice, an opponent’s force and a suitable battlefield. The listed component count describes what can be assembled; your chosen mission and current army-building rules determine what you can field.
